It was a pleasure meeting you during the BOMA Southern Region Conference. I truly enjoyed your presentation and gained a lot of knowledge that has enhanced my style of management.

We had the pleasure of having Cynthia hold a coaching session at our 2014 Annual Conference. Aside from being extremely knowledgeable and professional, Cynthia is an engaging speaker who really gets the most out of her time with the attendees. After just a few minutes into the session you could really see the light bulbs go off and the attendees start to think about how they can benefit by engaging in a coaching relationship. By the end of the session it was clear that everyone had a takeaway. Cynthia is someone we would welcome back anytime to speak to our members.

I had the privilege of being able to have Cynthia lead a session for the Association Executives of North Carolina’s Annual Meeting. As a person that books speakers, I don’t normally get to sit in the sessions, but I couldn’t miss her session and I wasn’t disappointed. She delivered a great session that was inspiring and motivating and really made the attendee think. I would bring her back to AENC yearly!

We talked about several items at dinner, and I kept hearing how great and beneficial it was and also that it was amazing how much information you packed into an hour.

Attending the all day Executive Presence Session for aspiring CEO’s at ASAE’s Annual Meeting was one of the best things I have ever done. The way the content was designed, the structure of the day, the conversations between participants, and the way Cynthia Mills and Greg Fine interact together as presenters and facilitators was just excellent. Cynthia Mills, CAE spoke to our group, the Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) during consecutive Annual Meetings. In 2008, Cynthia presented on “Effective and Appropriate Governance” and in 2009, on “Answering the Call to Leadership Post-2008.” The evaluations of her presentations? I had the pleasure of participating the past few days in the Georgia Society of Association Executives’ Annual Meeting in beautiful Asheville, NC. One of the most thought provoking parts of the conference was a session led by Cynthia Mills, CAE. Working from a series of scenarios drawn from her professional experiences, I joined other participants in discussing the ethical, legal, and leadership issues encompassed in the situations. It was an engaging learning opportunity. One takeaway was that it is not uncommon to find yourself or your organization scrambling to react to a sticky ethical issue for which there is a lack of previous preparation or training. Cynthia wrapped up the session by noting that association professionals can serve as the core of an ethical renaissance, influencing not only our own organizations, but also the industries and professions that we serve.

I wanted to thank you for an excellent workshop…..to point our board in the right direction regarding “Legal and Fiduciary Responsibilities.” (Are you a natural born speaker?) I know everyone’s eyes opened a little wider at several points in the meeting.

Cynthia’s passion and dedication was evident the moment we met. Her expertise in and out of the classroom provided students with an opportunity to explore real time leadership challenges. Cynthia was our instructor at NEC. She was extremely professional, engaging and inspiring in the classes I attended. Her drive to excel in her profession was evident and permeated the class. It fostered the drive in me to further excel in my activities and to promote the same from those with whom I engaged. It was a privilege having Cynthia as an instructor. I am now the Training Director at my organization and I would love to bring Cynthia back to our area to provide workshops on Ethics, Board Governance and the like. As the instructor of a graduate level strategic planning course Cynthia brought the class through the planning process from inception through implementation and evaluation of the results. Cynthia guided her students through in a way that left the direction up to them offering advice, encouragement and suggestions to smooth the process. Students completed the class ready to act as highly effective agents of change within their respective organizations.

I am just letting you know that I thought you gave a great talk. It was the first talk where the speaker actually asked the class what we would do. I would just like to say thank you.

I thought the use of volunteers in a mock board meeting was awesome and really helped a tough, boring topic come to life. I learned some things about how we run our board meetings….. that we should be improving. Well done!
